Ram Thapa

Ram is a digital manufacturing enthusiast and social entrepreneur with a strong background in design and local production. He holds an MSc in Engineering for International Development from UCL (2023) and currently works with UCL and the Global Disability Innovation Hub (GDI Hub) as a researcher and community project coordinator.

With over seven years of experience in humanitarian engineering and development across Nepal and South Asia, Ram runs the GDI Hub’s AT2030 research on digital prosthetics and assistive technology repairs in Nepal. He also runs the UCL International Development Hub, connecting students and researchers to tackle real-world challenges in developing communities.
