Ram Chandra Thapa

Ram is a researcher and consultant working at the intersection of disability inclusion, assistive technology, and sustainable development. At the Global Disability Innovation Hub (GDI Hub), Ram contributes to research and implementation projects focused on strengthening assistive technology ecosystems, improving access to prosthetics and mobility devices, and advancing inclusive innovation in low- and middle-income countries.

With an academic background in Engineering for International Development from University College London, Ram has experience working across international development, health systems, and community-based innovation. His work combines qualitative and mixed-methods research with practical implementation, supporting initiatives on digital prosthetics, wheelchair services, and inclusive manufacturing. Ram has collaborated with international organisations, governments, and local service providers to generate evidence that informs policy, improves service delivery, and promotes equitable access to assistive technology.
