Social Media and Communications Officer

"Queer. Disabled. Designer. Advocate. 

 I’m Jet Gates (they/them), a first class Digital Media Design graduate, from the University of Winchester, and accessibility consultant passionate about building digital spaces that feel like home- bold, welcoming, and unapologetically inclusive. I believe design should be more than aesthetic- it should be intentional, accessible, and rooted in lived experience. I’ve collaborated with brands like Primark, Hello Sunshine, London Fashion Week and NBC Universal to centre accessibility and representation in creative campaigns. 

 My work lives at the intersection of advocacy and design:

  • Social media manager for charities
  • Running awareness campaigns
  • Planning and delivering protests
  • Redesigning branding for inclusive organisations
  • Consulting on accessibility strategy and inclusive UX
  • Public speaking & lived experience education
  • Creating unique content that looks good whilst also being accessible

I’m here to challenge the status quo and push the boundaries of “normal.”
