Bala Nagendran M

Bala is a climate and urban practitioner from India. At GDI Hub, Bala works at the intersection of disability inclusion and climate change, particularly focusing on inclusive climate action, energy access, and urban climate infrastructure. With an academic background in architecture and urban studies, Bala has over six years of professional experience working with international development agencies and local governments, delivering multi-sectoral infrastructure and climate action programmes. He is also a UK-India Chevening Scholar and a graduate of the London School of Economics and Political Science, where his research project framed an 'Inclusive Local Climate Action Agenda' through the lens of rights-based urbanisation and social justice.
