Bala Nagendran M

Bala is a climate and urban practitioner from India. At GDI Hub, Bala works at the intersection of disability inclusion and climate change, particularly focusing on inclusive climate action, just transition, and inclusive infrastructure. With an academic background in architecture and urban studies, Bala has over five years of professional experience working with international development agencies and local governments and delivering multi-sectoral infrastructure and policy programmes on low-emission mobility, urban landscape resource management, and participatory governance. He is also a UK-India Chevening Scholar and a graduate from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where his research project framed an 'Inclusive Local Climate Action Agenda' through the lens of rights-based urbanisation and social justice.
