Role Purpose
This role will support GDI Hub’s administrative, operational and finance function and assist with operational tasks across all GDI Hub programmes and activities. With increasing numbers of staff and an expanding project portfolio GDI Hub is looking to bolster its administrative and operational capacity, which will provide much needed support to the day-to-day running of GDI Hub as well as crucial assistance to projects and programmes.
The focus of the role will primarily be core operations, including assisting with
- Financial processing
- Partner reporting
- Travel booking, events and conference planning and logistics
- Supporting Directors and other staff where necessary
The post would suit an Administrator with at least 2 years’ experience of working in a similar environment. Experience of working within an busy academic research centre or not for profit/charity sector organisation and a familiarity with different types of funding (grants, consultancy) would be helpful.
The successful applicant will work directly with project leads to support the delivery of multi-million-pound global programmes which seek to promote inclusion and harness research and innovation. The post holder will occupy a key position with the organisation and will reinforce and cement the link from the Operations Team to frontline project delivery. The environment of GDI Hub is a dynamic and interactive one. We encourage open and positive dialogue between team members and collaboration across all tiers of the organisation, and will always listen to new ideas and challenges to existing processes and methods.
We are looking for someone with extremely strong administrative and financial processing skills who has an interest working in a not-for-profit environment. You will be proactive, very organised and have excellent attention to detail.
The post holder will report to Bernice Cole, Head of Finance & HR for GDI Hub CIC, but will also spend time with other team members as needed.
This is a hybrid role, and it would be anticipated that the successful candidate will work at least 1 day a week in the GDI Hub office in Stratford, East London, currently on Wednesdays. We also have office space in Euston.
