Inclusive Employment Researcher
Nusrat is based in London and manages the GDI Hub’s research and project activities related to the UK Aid funded Innovation to Inclusion (i2i) programme in partnership with international pan-disability charity Leonard Cheshire (LC) and other consortia members. The i2i project will support 10,000 women and men with disabilities to benefit from an innovative inclusive employment programme in Kenya and Bangladesh.
GDI Hub will work closely with LC to design and test innovative practices to support employers to have an inclusive work environment and technological solutions that support persons with disability and help them function effectively and remain in the workplace. This includes designing an ‘Innovation Fund,’ including technical support to grantees, to test ideas on technological solutions for work environments that support women and men with disabilities to remain in work.
Nusrat has an MA in Human Rights and 12 years experience working in Bangladesh, Thailand, the Philippines and Kenya on a range of human rights, protection, disability and research projects.
