Manager, Lead for Advocacy and Engagement
As a Manager leading on Advocacy and Engagement, Katherine role with GDI Hub involves defining and carrying out the GDI Hub's policy and advocacy strategy. Katherine leads a small team centred on engagement with stakeholders, growing GDI Hub's following and increasing impact of GDI Hub's work. Katherine was previously a Project Manager for half of the AT2030 programme - Cluster 3: Country Implementation and Cluster 4: Community Capacity-building and Participation.
Based in Antwerp, Belgium, Katherine worked previously on European-level projects involving disability, emerging technologies & innovations with the European Disability Forum and Google. She also worked on deinstitutionalisation of marginalised groups such as people with physical and intellectual disabilities, children and homeless people with the European Expert Group on the Transition from Institutional to Community-based Care.
Before moving abroad, Katherine worked on health and disability policy in London. She set up and managed the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Assistive Technology, ran the Chronic Pain Policy Coalition and worked with diaspora on projects concerning paediatric cancer in Bangladesh and Ghana with World Child Cancer.
