Richard Armstrong-Wood

Research Assistant Prime-VR2 project

Richard joined the GDI hub in May 2020 and is working as a Research Assistant for the PRIME-VR2 project. He lives in Brighton, and alongside the GDI hub, he works for the NHS as a Trainee Clinical Scientist in the Chailey Communications Aid Service specialising in Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC).

Richard has a background in Mechanical Engineering and is currently completing a part-time MSc in Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology at the Aspire CREATe Lab in UCL. He has work experience in 3D modelling and additive manufacturing and is interested in the design and development of assistive technology, interactive interfaces, and human-computer interaction.
